DANBURY ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED FIREFIGHTERS
Welcome to the DARF website! The Danbury Association of Retired Firefighters was established on January 22, 2002.
It now has a total membership of sixty-three (63), including thirty-eight (38) charter members, ten (10) regular members,
thirteen (13) associate members and two (2) honorary members.
OUR MISSION
The purpose of DARF is to maintain a social and fraternal tie and to be a watchdog on pension laws as they pertain to retired
firefighters.We will be following Social Security issues (Windfall Act) that may affect some of us. The organization will
meet four times a year for war stories, good cheer and fine dining.

BECOMING A MEMBER
Membership is open to all retired members. The executive board has also elected to invite any active members of the Danbury
Fire Department who have twenty or more years on the job to join the organization.
