The recent benefit to support the children of deceased Firefighter Doug Lyle has not only served to help meet their needs but has also, once again, demonstrated that the Fire Service is truely a family. We can take justifiable pride in the fact that we serve each other along with the public we are sworn to protect. This was admirably demonstrated at the benefit held at Molly Darcy's on March 5th. Firefighters, Police Officers, Bikers, and friends from all over the state supported this worthy cause at the raffle and silent auction held there. Though the final tally is not yet in, initial reports indicate that an excess of $13,000 was raised. Give youselves a "tip o the hat", brothers and sisters. We are professionals are we are family!
